Honest about certainty: what evidence tiers mean
Strong, emerging, preliminary — we show you how solid the science is, every time.
Why we grade the evidence
Most supplement marketing speaks in absolutes: this works, that transforms, guaranteed results. Real science doesn't. Some recommendations rest on decades of peer-reviewed trials; others on a handful of promising early studies. Hiding that difference is dishonest.
So we surface it. Every recommendation carries an evidence tier — and the tier is always paired with a plain-language label, never color alone.
The three tiers
Strong: backed by robust, peer-reviewed human trials. Emerging: supported by a growing but still-developing body of research. Preliminary: early or mechanistic data — interesting, but not settled.
Honesty about uncertainty isn't a hedge. For the health optimizer who already reads studies, it's the whole point: a guide that tells you 'we're not sure yet' is a guide you can trust when it says 'this one is solid.'
